Configuration of a door

Doors are used to navigate from one room to another. Doors can be visualised by an actual door or you can choose any other image if you rather want to use a more secret entrance. For example you can choose a plant as a secret door.

When configuring doors it's very important that you indicate to which room this door needs to lead.

How to configure a door

  • Go to the dashboard
  • Select the event that you want to configure
  • Go to 'rooms'
  • Click on the 'visual editor icon' of the room in which you want to add a door
  • Click on 'add element' and select 'door'
  • Go to the properties on the left side
  • Give your door a name (required)
  • Choose the location and size of your door
    • Use your computer mouse
    • Use your keyboard commands
    • Fill in the x and y-axis, width and height
  • Select 'always behind' if you want this door to always be placed behind other objects or avatars
  • Upload your door by selecting an image from the media library
  • Select 'flip horizontally' if you want to mirror the image over the x-axis
  • Choose to which room your door needs to lead by selecting the slug of that room from the dropdown menu
Important: always make sure that the room to which your door needs to lead, has already been created
  • Indicate if you'd like to have a maximum capacity of guests for this room (optional)
  • Add a name plate to your door
    • Select 'add name plate'
    • Fill in the name of your door under 'text'
    • Choose the font and background color
      • Copy paste your hex-code in the text box
      • Use the color picker symbol on the right
      • Insert the RGB-code when clicking on the color picker symbol on the right
    • Select the tick box if you want to show shadow around the name plate of your door

Important: you can use 'back to door' under 'properties' to return to the properties of your door.

  • Press 'save'
