A billboard is one of the options that you can use to include sponsors or partners in your event. A billboard is a logo placed against the wall. If you click on this billboard more information will appear. More specifically, a billboard is a group element that consists out of a pop-over image, three buttons and an embedded element.
The structure of a billboard in fixed, namely the pop-over image and buttons on the left, whereas the embedded element is placed on the right. However, you are free to chose which of these elements you want to incorporate into your billboard.
How to configure a billboard
- Go to the dashboard
- Select the event that you want to configure
- Go to 'rooms'
- Click on the 'visual editor icon' of the room in which you want to add a billboard
- Click on 'add element' and select 'billboard'
- Go to the properties on the left side
- Give your billboard a name (optional)
- Choose the location and size of your billboard
- Use your computer mouse
- Use your keyboard commands
- Fill in the x and y-axis, width and height
- Select 'Always behind' if you want this billboard to always be placed behind other objects or avatars
- Upload your billboard by selecting an image from the media library (mostly a logo)
- Select 'Flip horizontally' if you want to mirror the image over the x-axis
- Fill in the elements that you want to add to your billboard
- About us text = the text that will be displayed on the button that leads to your (or your partner's) website
- About us URL = insert the website here
- Pop-over image = this is another image that you can include in your billboard
- Embedded URL = insert a video, postcast, subscription form or any other embedded URL here
- Meeting slug = insert a meeting button in your billboard by filling in the slug of your meeting
- Businesss card slug = insert a business card button in your billboard by filling in the slug of your business card
- Press 'save'
Important: don't forget to assign the role of meeting owner or businesss card collector if you want somebody (or multiple people) to manage this meeting or to collect the business cards that were left.
