Configuration of a chat thread

A chat thread is a white page on which your attendees can leave messages. These messages will be visible for everyone in the room. As an organisation owner or event manager you can delete and download the chat history via the dashboard. 

How to configure a chat thread


  • Go to the dashboard
  • Select the event that you want to configure
  • Go to 'rooms'
  • Click on the 'visual editor icon' of the room in which you want to add a chat thread
  • Click on 'add element' and select 'chatthread'
  • Go to the properties on the left side
  • Give your chatthread a name (optional)
  • Choose the location and size of your chat thread
    • Use your computer mouse
    • Use your keyboard commands
    • Fill in the x and y-axis, width and height

  • Select 'always behind' if you want the chat thread to always be placed behind other objects or avatars 
  • Insert a 'title'
  • Insert a 'background and accent (border) color'
    • Copy paste your hex-code in the text box 
    • Use the color picker symbol on the right
    • Insert the RGB-code when clicking on the color picker symbol on the right 

  • Press 'save'

How to delete the chat history

  • Go to the dashboard
  • Select the event that you want to configure
  • Go to 'rooms'
  • Click on the 'visual editor icon' of the room where you want to delete the chat history
  • Select your chat thread
  • Go to the properties on the left side
  • Select 'clear chat history'
  • Press 'save'


How to download the chat history

  • Go to the dashboard
  • Select the event that you want to configure
  • Go to 'rooms'
  • Click on the 'visual editor icon' of the room where you want to download the chat history
  • Select your chat thread
  • Go to the properties on the left side
  • Select 'download chat history'
  • An excel file will be downloaded
